I stayed at Cascade Village hoping for a nice getaway, but it fell short of expectations. The location is decent, just a couple miles from the Purgatory Resort, which was a plus. However, the room was in poor condition and cleanliness was an issue. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place unless significant improvements are made.

Rooms
5.0
The room was in terrible shape, with outdated furnishings, a horrible smell, and not clean at all. The carpet had food stuck to it, and the bedding appeared dirty.
Service
5.0
Service from the staff was lacking, especially after the fire alarm incident when we didn’t receive any communication about the situation.
Location

Cascade Village is located just 2 miles from the Purgatory Resort, which is a good spot for accessing ski activities, but not much else nearby.
Dining

The dining options were limited, and most places closed early, making it hard to find food nearby.
Facilities

The overall facilities were disappointing, with broken screen doors and issues with the windows. The maintenance definitely needs to be improved.

We had a mixed experience at this resort. While the location near Purgatory was convenient and the indoor pool was decent, the condition of our unit left much to be desired. We encountered cleanliness issues, dated amenities, and a lack of proactive service, which made our stay less enjoyable. However, some areas of the resort, like the newer units and the beautiful views, could be appealing for future visits.

Rooms

The unit we stayed in was outdated and not very clean, with noticeable issues like old tube TVs and noisy appliances. We did not feel comfortable walking barefoot due to the floor condition.
Service
5.0
Service was lackluster, as we felt the staff was not proactive in addressing our concerns; communication was poor during the fire alarm incident.
Location

The resort's location is great, being close to Purgatory ski resort, but that's about it. The drive to Durango was manageable, but we didn't find much in the immediate area.

My stay at Cascade Village was really disappointing. Although it had some spacious options and a nice view, the overall condition of the unit was terrible. The cleanliness was subpar, and I encountered several maintenance issues. With the proximity to the ski area being a plus, I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a more enjoyable experience.

Our family had high hopes for our stay, but it turned out to be a challenging experience. The location is likely excellent for skiing in winter, but visiting in the summer without AC made for a very uncomfortable stay. While the condo we ultimately stayed in had some good amenities and felt like home, the lack of proper accessibility and poor check-in process was frustrating. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for a summer visit, especially for anyone with mobility issues.

Rooms
6.0
The condo we stayed in was spacious and equipped with all necessary kitchen amenities, which was a plus. However, it had no ventilation and felt excessively hot even at night, making it difficult to relax.
Service
5.0
The check-in process was highly inefficient as there was no one at the front desk and we had to drive to another resort to get our keys. This added to our frustration upon arrival.
Location

While it might have a great skiing location, the summer experience was poor due to the heat and lack of AC, making it unsuitable during warmer months.

The resort had potential with some nice facilities, but the overall upkeep felt lacking; the place seemed outdated and didn't meet our expectations for comfort during our stay.

My stay at Cascade Village was incredibly disappointing. While the lodge has potential with its nice exterior and grounds, the inside left much to be desired. The rooms were dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. I wouldn't recommend it, especially given the poor conditions I encountered.
